What are solo ads? Solo Ads Group
You might or might not have heard of solo ads before. Solo Ads Group
They are very common in the earn money on the internet space.
A solo ad is an email ad which you buy from other email list owners. The email list owner will then send an email on your behalf to some subset of the email list.
A fantastic solo ad will get these subscribers to click on whatever offer you are selling. And these clicks will turn into leads that you are able to convert into sales.
What is awesome about solo ads, is that they are often less costly than other paid traffic sources such as Google Adwords or Facebook Ads. And they have fewer restrictions on what type of stuff you’ll be able to advertise.
However, there is a downside to solo ads as well. Many list owners build their own lists through different sketchy techniques. So their traffic may not convert well or at all. I’ve heard of solo ad sellers sending fake bot clicks as well.
Solo ad traffic is also not likely to work in every market. You’ll have the most success utilizing them to promote various affiliate marketing or CPA type offers.
So where do you find these solo ad providers? In the old days, you would need to scour through various forums and other websites. But now, the best site I have found to get solo ads is a site known as Udimi. Solo Ads Group
What is Udimi?
Udimi is a marketplace for solo ad sellers and buyers. The site is free to sign up and what I like most about Udimi is how fast you can get started.
Let me show you just how to make your first solo ad.
Locating a solo ad provider on Udimi
First, click on the Find Sellers link where you will find a listing of solo ad suppliers.
It’s important not to select the first provider you see though.
You’ll want to take advantage of Udimi’s filters to pick the best ones.
The first filter you’ll want to use is the rating filter. Whenever a transaction occurs on Udimi, both the buyer and seller get rated. So over time, a seller will accumulate a number of positive and negative ratings.
If you have a look at each seller profile, you can see how many negative and positive ratings each vendor has.
For me, I like to search for vendors that have 100 positive reviews and less than 2% negative feedback.
The second filter you should use is the percent of fleas filter. When you rate a seller’s transaction on Udimi, you also get to indicate whether you have any earnings from the ad buy. So on the seller’s profile, you will notice a little $ symbol having a percentage next to it.
If it says 23%, that means indicates that 23 percent of buyers from supplier reported a purchase. Solo Ads Group
Now, this metric is definitely flawed, since there’s no actual verification that exactly what the purchaser is stating is true. So don’t take it as the reality.
But used along with the score filter, you can come up with a list of sellers which are very likely to be reputable.
For me, I like looking at providers who have at least a 20% score or better.
Finally, the cost is also vital for any advertising purchase.
On Udimi, solo ad suppliers sell clicks from as low as $0.35 per click up to $0.95 per click. Remember that lower is not always better, and frequently times you get what you pay for.
Once you’ve filtered down your listing of vendors, click on their profile, and be certain to read it carefully.
Many vendors will tell you a little more information about their list, like where their prospects come from and what market they’re from. You can also scroll down on their profile to read reviews from prior buyers.
Purchasing your first solo ads
Once you’ve picked the vendor that you want to go with, buying your first advertisement is very straightforward.
If you click inside any vendor profile, you’ll see a box like this:
In the top, is a slider where you are able to indicate how many clicks you are interested in getting the purchase from the seller. This is the minimal number of clicks that you will get, although a lot of sellers promote you will get a certain% of over-delivery of your favorite amount. Solo Ads Group
Below this, you can select what filters Udimi will apply to your traffic. All solo advertisements traffic goes through the Udmi base filter, which eliminates bot traffic and other fraudulent clicks. This article describes more detailed just how Udimi filters operate .
If you select the other filters, you are going to cover a tiny bit more, but the traffic quality should be better. I have the Prime membership, so that I get the Prime filter automatically. I think you’re ok ignoring the other filters.
The most important part of the solo advertising is your headline and email. You’ve got two choices here. If you uncheck’I have advertisement text’, then you can get the vendor come up with his own email, and link to your specified URL.
I don’t recommend this though since you are determined by the seller composing good email copy.
Instead, I make sure that the I have that box checked so that I can add my headline and ad copy.
What is nice is that Udimi conserves all the solo advertisements that you purchase. So the last one you use will automatically show up in the box, and you can switch between older solo ads you’ve done employing a drop-down. This saves a bunch of time when purchasing from several providers.
Once that’s done, you will see the entire price you’ll pay (such as Udimi’s $3 fee) and add to cart to complete your purchase.
After your order has gone through, the seller will need to approve your solo ad. After that happens, then they have 100 hours to begin delivering your purchase.
When your order begins, you will be able to look at your stats. You can see just how many clicks you have received, and what locations the clicks are coming from.
– Easiest place to locate solo advertising suppliers.
– Can filter suppliers by evaluations, cost and sales conversions.
– Get random $5 reductions as you buy advertisements and speed people.
– Are your solo advertising messages are saved and can be readily re-used.
– Can typically get overdelivery of clicks out of sellers.
– % of buyers reporting sales metric isn’t too accurate.
– Have to pay extra for more sophisticated filtering.
– Many sellers are in the earn money online market.
